It’s too hard to focus on serious sewing when there’s summer outfits to be made for Clementine.
Fabric: Red Letter Day by Lizzy House + White Linen
Patterns: Seaside Sundress (upsized for 12-18 mo/shortened to make a swingy top) + Big Butt Baby Pants (shortened again to make capris…bloomers would have been cuter but I have to protect those pudgy little knees)
The only question now is: would this be cuter with pockets?

ARGH!! You have to get that pattern out!! LOL!! I have a cloth diapered baby and am waiting on you!
Adorable outfit…. I LOVE the pocket!
-Candice
No pockets. : )
I like the pocket. It's a fun addition. The outfit is darling….as is Clementine. I agree, making sweet little outfits like this takes precedence to other things.
Oh gosh … usually I'd say, nah on the pocket. But that itty bitty tiny one? Yes, put it on … such a cute touch!!
Happy Day!
Wow it's really cute!!
adorable! I love white with a little pattern for babies!
I'm split on the pocket – but overall that is the cutest ever outfit!
What a cute little dress with pants.. love it……
Cute outfit–it looks so light and airy. If you want to rent me Clementine for a week it'll enable you to get some sewing done
Oh how you tease! Here I thought the big butt pattern was ready!
Adorable dress! I love linen. I think the pocket is a sweet touch.
YES POCKET!!! The perfect teeny touch. I'm shocked and apalled that anyone would hate on that sweet little pocket.
YES!!! Pocket for sure. Love the pop of color in the middle of a sea of white.
Pockets, Pockets, Pockets!!!!! Such a cute tiny pocket. It is a must.
We need to pants patten!
I love the pocket
Okay, that is ridiculously adorable. I vote no pocket.
I say yes on the pockets. Very cute!
Yes, on the pocket! So cute!
Pretty please on the cloth diapered big booty pants… pretty please! My bubble butts need knee protecting britches!
Two thumbs up on the pockets! This is really cute!
So darling! I vote for pockets.
So cute!
Love that ric rac!
What!?! How could this possibly be cuter? It couldn't! The pocket just took the entire outfit over-the-top. Love it!
cuteness overload! I really like that fabric and the white linen is perfect! I just made some dresses for my own crawler, and she needs some cloth diaper bottoms to go with them (hint hint)
I love the photos!
the pocket is precious. the outfit is sublime!
so cute. i haven't really liked this fabric much until i've seen this adorable outfit. and i love the cute pocket too
I know what you mean. I have a little girl turning one and there are so many little things I want to sew for her. Plus my two older kids. There is no time for other stuff. I just want the kids to look cute in all the things I made!
YES!! Pockets!!
)
I vote for the pocket! This is an adorable outfit!
Ooh, now that's a cute outfit! And I love the pocket; I think you should add it.
I think this is my favorite patter for her so far. I LOVE the linen and the swing top and the patterned bottoms. Perfect!
The pocket is adorable…but it looks so breezy without it…. I know, I'm a big help right? I love the white linen- so summery!
EVERYTHING is cuter with bloomers! At nearly 2 years, I still have to cover up Mimi's "chubby kness." (She still climbs using a combo of hands, knees, and feet. And she likes to run…and was shocked the first time she fell with uncovered knees. Poor baby!)
I'm in love with linen, and I think your fabric choice is perfect! The pocket is so cute, and the ricrac is great too!
My goodness, is there anything more kissable than the back of a baby's neck?!
Love the pockets.
so so sweet! I love her outfit. And the pockets are just adorable as well.
love the ric rac, too!
How cute! With, or without, the pockets!
Love the ric-rac! And the pockets! Pants/shorts pattern please!!!!!!!
Oh, I think that the pocket looks adorable! Sweet!
Super, super cute. And I love the pocket.
EVERYTHING looks cuter with pockets. Gorgeous!
ADORABLE! love the white linen with the bright fabric…and the pocket
It's already super cute, but I really heart the pockets! Go for it!
Are you kidding? Making summer outfits for adorable little girls IS serious sewing. I love the pocket.
PRECIOUS. I had better get working on new outfits for L–already almost 2 months old and I haven't made her a single stitch!!
I like the pocket.
I must have that pattern for the pants! Please, please, please finish it up soon!
adorable. i vote for pockets.
That is just a divine summer outfit your little one. Love the pockets.
Dear me that's cute. I like the pocket, but think it's better on the baby without the pocket. Purer
yes yes yes pockets! good gravy, that's adorable.
This outfit is SO INCREDIBLY CUTE. Well done!
Fabulous pattern! I wish I hadn't used all of my Red Letter Day fabric.
LOVE LOVE LOVE that outfit! I say no pockets for a more classy look and pocket to make it more fun.
OK, This is sooooo unfair….You persistantly show adorable, new ideas made from your "Big Butt" Pattern, but have yet to publish the pattern??? C'Mon, we WAAAAANT it. Bad. Hurry? Please???!!?
Thanks!!
Oh, can I get a *SQUEEE*?! stinkin' cute, Rae. You've done it again!
This is amazing! One of the best uses of the Champion print from Red Letter Day that I have ever seen!!!
So very cute. I think the pockets add just a simple and adorable detail. Well done!
That is as cute as can be! I don't know what happened but I lost your blog for awhile there! I'm trying to catch up! Looks like you are doing well!
Regular old pocket? Nah
But that pocket? With the adorable pleats? and the rick rack? Its just fabulous!
Like the others… I'm waiting on the Big Butt Pants!!!
How can there be so many diaper patterns out there for people to STO, but no pant patterns to go over their fluffy tooshes?
That is such a cute outfit!!
im kinda late..but..
this is so sweet so adorable.
and the pocket is very cute too!
