All Prints
I have a fun giveaway today! My friend Shannon from Little Luvins has teamed up with her sister Colleen to create a line of punny prints with sewing themes in their new shop, Boo in Stitches! You can read more about their story here. They were kind enough to send me one of each of the prints (I couldn’t choose just one!!), and we had some fun setting them up in various fitting arrangements around the studio.

big bolts

pity the spool

pin it good

yarrrd

I actually laughed out loud when I saw this one, because it’s So. True. The seam ripper is never around when you need it. Looks just right above this sewing table, wouldn’t you say?

is it me

For a chance to win one of these five prints, leave a comment telling us which one is your favorite!

To be entered in the drawing, leave ONE comment on this post by 10pm EST on Tuesday, February 3, 2015. One winner will be randomly selected and contacted via email to provide a mailing address for the print (unframed). International entries are welcome! Void where prohibited by law.

  1. Oh my goodness! They’re equally awesome every single one! I’d love to have one in my sewing room! But knowing husbands taste in music and humour, he would have several of these anywhere in the house ^_^

  2. I really like these prints. My favourite is the one with the seam ripper. Because I’m always, really ALWAYS, looking for it.

  3. Tough choice! But because of my undying love for Lionel Richie, I’m going with the seam ripper, with “Pin it real good” a close second.

  4. They are all so great! But I think I’m crushing on the seam ripper one the most. And yes, perfect placement of that print right over the table.

  5. What cool printings!?!?! I’ve got a new sewing space lately and I’m still looking to a very white wall 😉
But to choose my favorite I would guess it’s the ONE- YARD one. I always buy one yard if I’m not sure what it will be turned into.
    Thanks for this laughing moment!

  6. Hard to pick a favorite, but I’m going with the seam ripper one because a. I love Lionel Richie and b. I can never find the darn thing. Thanks for showing off these great prints!

  7. Love these! I had seen the seam ripper one before and told my Mom about it and she thought it was hilarious– would love to gift her one! Thanks!

  8. “I like big bolts and I cannot lie” Ha! My 6 year old convinced my husband to put big butts on her ipod and now she knows all the words. Slightly horrifying but funny none the less!

  9. having just had a HUGE sort out of my fabric stash I can honestly say that the “I love big bolts and I can not lie” spoke volumes to me and made me giggle.

  10. I love these! It’s so hard to pick a favorite, but I think I’d have to go with “I pity the spool…”

  11. Love the seam ripper! I have at least three and yet I can never put my fingers on one when I need to most. 🙂

  12. I love the seam ripper one. So true. But the just give me a yard one is so funny. That completely is me at the fabric store. 🙂

  13. I like BIG BOLTS and I CANNOT LIE! I still have all of Sir Mix-a-lot’s lyrics memorized. These prints are a great idea!

  14. Oh my goodness these are amazing! So hard to choose, but I think I like “pin it, pin it real good”.

  15. These are amazing! I’d love the seam ripper print, I’m going to be singing that everytime I need to do some ripping now! Thanks for the chance.

  16. They are all so funny! I love them! Hard to chose a favorite for sure. But I would have to go with “I like big bolts and I cannot lie” . . .that is just too funny!

  17. I’m trying to create a sewing space and the ‘big bolts’ would a fun addition to the wall!! Thanks for the opportunity!

  18. These are awesome! I especially love the seam ripper, but not just because I sometimes can’t find it. For me, this made me think about all the times I was totally in denial about needing to rip a seam. It’s like a gentle reminder from Mr. Seam Ripper lol – ‘You know you need to use me.’

Big bolts is a close second due to DH’s occasional horror at the size of my fabric stash : )

  19. These prints speak my sewing language – I’m taking a whole new light-hearted approach to my sewing this year – humour and fun are compulsory!

  20. My favorite is the “I like big bolts” but a close second are the seam ripper and the pin cushion. Heck I love them all!

  21. I have to say the seam ripper one – especially since last night I went just about bonkers looking for mine….

  22. I like all of them! But if I have to choose, I would select “I pity the spool.” Thanks for hosting a fun giveaway.

  23. These are fantastic! I love “Pin it Real Good!” I think it’s related to the Salt n Pepper revival commercials lately. They all bring me back to my awkward youth!

  24. I agree with you. They are all so awesome! It is hard to choose just one, but if I have to I will choose the seam ripper. I am forever hiding things from myself in my sewing room!!!

  25. Oh, the seam ripper! I’m always taking it out of the sewing room to work on a project here or there and can’t figure out where I’ve left it. The worst part is that my sewing table was handed down to me from my grandma and she had it immaculately organized with old altoids tins and film canisters, so it actually has a labelled home where it belongs. I’m always ashamed when I think of what my gran would say if she saw it now…

  26. I love pin it because push is my daughter’s favorite song right now. We hear it on repeat a lot! Thank you, corrie

  27. I’m dying. These are brilliant. Choosing one… This is like Sophie’s Choice. But I think I have to go with… I pity the spool! I’m an 80s kid, after all. But I may have to start wearing gold chains and such while sewing. 😉

  28. Give me a yarrrrrrrrd! I love this shop…just recently discovered them….favorited on my Etsy account for sure! 🙂

  29. These are fantastic! I am a full time artist, and my sewing machine is my best friend as I like to say. These really gave me a laugh, and I would love one in my studio. Thank you for the wonderful giveaway.

  30. That seam ripper one is hilarious. Although, I can’t get that song out of my head now… These are all great. Very clever.

  31. omg, the seam ripper one!!! The other night I was hunting around for it and eventually gave up and called it a night. Went to start sewing the next day and realized I still need to rip a seam and then had to spend 30 minutes looking for the darned thing. It had fallen behind my sewing table 😛

  32. Oh, these are adorable! I’d like all 5 of them lined up in a row! Since my sewing room is decorated in mainly purple (my favorite), I’d choose “Pin It Good” …that little pin cushion is so appealing!

  33. Oh my heavens the cuteness!!! I like big bolts and I cannot lie! hello? is it me you’re looking for? I pity the spool! Seriously?!?! Love it!! Haaa!!

  34. As a child of the 90’s, you know Big Bolts is my favorite…and now that song is stuck in my head. 🙂 Thanks for the chance!

  35. I think my original comment didn’t go through, so I’m posting again. “I Like Big Bolts….” is my fave 🙂 🙂

  36. My choice would be “I pity the spool” complete with mohawk and gold chain! Although the pirate, “Give me a yarrrrd” is a close second.

  37. It was a difficult choice, because they’re all pretty amazing… but, I’d have to go with the pirate. A yaaaard! We love a good pirate joke.

  38. My favourite it teh one with the seam ripper. When I first started sewing I had at least three people gift different ones to me – and they were right, I am always looking for one!!!

  39. Those prints are awesome and hilarious all rolled into one! I am now singing, “I like big bolts…” in my head, of course. 😉

  40. I love these! I have just finished painting my sewing room and one of these would be great in my freshly painted, yet to be reorganized, room. I am totally drawn to “Give me a yarrrrd” because I love buying yards of beautiful fabric! “How much do you want?” asks the fabric store person. “A yarrrrd,” I reply slowly, as I’m thinking – what will I do with this beautiful fabric? What fun artwork. Thanks for offering one up.

  41. Ohhh my goodness this is the best! To be honest, I would totally love winning any of them; they are so so cute!
(there is a special place in my heart for the pin cushion one though!)
    Thanks for the chance 🙂

  42. I love when international readers can take part in the giveaway´s.
The prints are all super cute but my favorite is the one with the seam ripper.
    Love from Iceland.

  43. wow these are awesome, I love puns. Hard to narrow it down, it’s between i pity the spool and is it me your looking for. Brilliant!

  44. I love these! It is so hard to choose just one but I would choose the seam ripper…something I am frequently looking for!

  45. Seam ripper for me ~ one of the most valuable tools in my sewing box!
Thanks for the giveaway ~ really sweet!

  46. I have this special relationship with my seam ripper. We work together so well to solve stupid mistakes…and sometimes it is hiding… am always saying: “Where’s my seam ripper?”

  47. They’re all sooooo cute but I think it’s “I like big bolts and I cannot lie” that is my fave! Thanks for the giveaway =)

  48. I hope I’m just in time to enter! The prints are all wonderful and brought a smile to my face but if I had to choose it would be the seam ripper. It would be the perfect gift for my sister’s birthday!

  49. Oh man. Do I really have to pick just one? They are all pretty clever, but the one that made me giggle out loud was “I like big bolts and I cannot lie”.

  50. Love the pincushion! Just walked by your shop today, noticed the sign and looked up your blog. I hope to make it to a sewing night soon!
