PDF Download Troubleshooting

Please know that I will do everything I can to resolve your problem AS SOON AS I POSSIBLY CAN. I might not be at my computer this very second, but I almost always resolve pattern issues within 24 hours, if not sooner.

Don’t forget to SAVE YOUR PATTERN FILE on your computer so that you will always have access to it. You can also email the pattern file to yourself (but not to others — that’s a copyright violation!!) to keep a copy saved in your email.

Common Problems (and what do you can do!)

In reality, the purchase/download/printing process doesn’t always go as smoothly as expected, especially if it is your first time purchasing an instant download pattern. Here are some issues that happen occasionally, and what you can do!

Problem: I placed my order but am still waiting for my download email. Where is it? 

Solution:
 1. Wait a few minutes — sometimes the email takes a few minutes to be delivered to your inbox.
2. Search for “Made By Rae” or “rae.made@gmail.com” in both your inbox AND your spam/junk folder to make sure you didn’t miss it.
3. Are you looking in the right email inbox? Remember that your pattern goes to the email address you gave at checkout (for Paypal customers, this is the primary email address associated with your Paypal account).

Still nothing? See “If that doesn’t work“, below.

Problem: “I checked my spam folder and I am sure I didn’t get the email with the pattern! Where is it??”

Try this:
Do you still have the Paypal payment window open on your computer? If so, you can click on the download link on that page to download the pattern.

If that doesn’t work:
Email me! We can resend your pattern email. Please include your Paypal email address in the email or reply directly to your confirmation email to make it easy for me to find your transaction. Remember that I am not always at my computer at every second, but that I will take care of it the next time that I am. Relax, and don’t worry!!! We will fix your problem!

Problem: “I got my pattern email but I used up all my download attempts and my link expired!”

Solution: I can reset your link, just reply to the email I sent you that has the download link and let me know you need your link reset. Remember that I am not always at my computer at every second, but that I will take care of it the next time that I am. Take deep breaths and relax. We will fix your problem!

Problem: “I got my pattern email, but the download link didn’t work.”

Solution: First, check your download folder on your computer; sometimes the file actually downloads but doesn’t open immediately. Sometimes (especially if the internet connection is slow or you are at WORK…ahem!) the pattern will not download properly. If possible, wait until you are at home or a different time of day to attempt your pattern downloads. If you are on a mobile device and the download times out, please try it on a computer (if you have one). If it still doesn’t work, please email me and I can send you the file as a PDF attachment the next time I am at my computer. Please reply to the email I sent you that has the download link in it — this helps me find your pattern faster. Remember that I am not always at my computer at every second, but that I will take care of it the next time that I am. Take deep breaths and relax. We will fix your problem!

Problem: “I’ve emailed you to let you know that I have a problem, but I haven’t heard back yet (and it’s been more than a day)!”

Solution: Sometimes (this is very rare) I don’t have the ability to respond to your email within 24 hours. I apologize, I know it can be frustrating to not always have an immediate response, but please know that I will do everything I can to fix your problem, as soon as I can! Please feel free to resend your email or send me a “did you get my last email?” to make sure that I didn’t miss it somehow.

If it has been 48 hours and you STILL haven’t heard from me, it’s possible you just aren’t getting my emails. Occasionally a customer’s email account will not accept my emails (it gets marked as spam and deleted or blocked entirely) which makes it impossible for me to communicate with you and can be really frustrating for both of us. First, try going to your email contacts folder and adding “rae DOT made AT gmail DOT com” to your contacts. Then search for that email address to see if anything shows up. If you still do not see any correspondence from me, please log into your Paypal account and go to the Resolution Center to communicate with me that way. Paypal Resolution should be a LAST RESORT, so please make sure you have tried everything else before you do this.
