My summer top -> Winter top!
The other day I was rooting through the closet looking for something new to wear when I found the yellow plaid shirt. I put it on and was pretty thrilled with the summer-turned-winter outfit and then went online to see the pictures from when I posted it. Summer Top Week ’08? WAAH?? Can it really be that old? The problem with having a blog where you catalog all the things you make is that you always know exactly how old your clothes are. My Spring Top Tutorial on Sew Mama Sew!
Spring Top Week is starting early with a Spring Top Tutorial over at Sew Mama Sew!!! (Free!) Buttercup Bag Sewing Pattern

: : warm weather today!
: : yellow week (which I TOTALLY missed…bummer)
: : Sew Mama Sew‘s Fat Quarter Month
This pattern uses a mere fat quarter of fabric for the outer + a little less of another fabric for lining. You’ll also need a magnetic snap and (optionally) a couple of buttons, although it looks pretty cute without the buttons too. I think this would also look great with some piping or ric-rac over the pleats…I can’t wait to see what y’all do with this one!
While I appreciate links to this post (but not directly to the pattern), please don’t “borrow” my pictures without permission. Thanks and enjoy!
