Oh hello there!

Wow a week goes fast! We just got back today from a week with my parents (and visiting other friends) in the beautiful Pacific Northwest.  When I’m on vacation all my sewing goals seem to go right out the window. Which is good, because that means that I’m really vegging out and doing nothing, which is what vacation is supposed to be about. But it’s bad when I want to blog and I realize oh dear I don’t really have anything to blog about.  So, random picture instead. This one is a favorite that I took a couple weeks ago but didn’t seem to really “fit” anywhere on the blog. Clementine had just woken up from her nap and crawled into Elliot’s bed when we went in his room to wake him up.  I love schmoopy babies.  Double bonus: There’s at least five handmade things in this picture. There’s also a hippo washcloth.  Don’t ask.

  1. It's great to realized at once that most of what our babies are wearing was handmade.

this picture is cute.. I have something similar to this… but I'm on it, and it totally ruins the cute effect!

  2. Still loving the monkey bum. (Just please…don't ask Ernie if she knows what that means! Heh ๐Ÿ™‚ We were so glad to see you, hope the trip went smoothly!

  3. Aww, this is so precious! I love sleepy snuggly babies:)

Where did you get that monkey PUL? I am looking for some patterned PUL for diapers for my son.

  4. That is one of the sweetest pictures that I've seen in a long time. Love those sweet little toes AND all the handmade items.

  5. Aw…that is just the sweetest! I miss my son's poofy diaper bum (well, I don't miss changing the diapers. LOL!).

  6. I love these moments. Our two snuggle up at story time. And six minutes later the screaming begins. But for those six minutes, I'm the happiest mommy in the world.

  7. Too sweet!
I was wondering if you were in my next of the woods when I saw you online a few times really late (or it would have been if you'd been home :D). I'm glad you got some R&R, that seems to make tackling the sewing to-do list a little easier once all the house stuff is taken care of.

    Happy Week!

  8. LOVE the diaper! My little girl is in FuzziBunz and I really want to make her a few new diapers with some cute prints like those monkeys! I am a little intimidated by diaper sewing. Can you give some tips? What pattern do you use? Where do you buy your supplies (like the monkey PUL)? I appreciate any information you can share!

  9. Okay, this has got to be one of the cutest photos I've ever seen. Seriously, so much is captured there. Thanks for making my day with that!

  10. What a sweet picture! I just found that same IKEA duvet cover in the blue, white and red print at the thrift store yesterday for $1.50! Can't wait to cut it up and make something!!!

  11. Lurve. ๐Ÿ˜‰

And we have that IKEA duvet/pillowcase set, too! I think it was on sale one day…and I couldn't resist. *grin*
