***This Giveaway is now closed. Thanks for entering!***
Thanks to everyone for your kind comments on my fun announcement!! We’re all super excited over here. There’s definitely been more bumpage over here lately than the photos that Elli so kindly made you scrutinize in that post (HAH!), so it looks like maternity sewing will definitely be happening in my future.
So it’s time to give a shout-out to the amazing sponsors of this blog — their buttons are over on the sidebar, and at the bottom of my blog entries, but one of the most common questions I still get over email is “where do you buy your fabric?” So I wanted to give them some formal recognition to make sure you know what great shops they are! And yes, I do shop with my sponsors when I need fabric for a project. I really love having their buttons on my blog because I can just click around when I’m looking for something specific. So let’s show off a few of their wonderful fabrics!!
Oh, and we’ll throw in a giveaway too! Each of the four sponsors featured in this post has generously offered up a $30 gift card to one lucky winner. This means that FOUR OF YOU will win a gift card! Leave a comment by 10pm Eastern Time tonight, November 8th, to be entered in the drawing. Short giveaway, people, so chop, chop. Don’t putz around, or you’ll miss it.
FAT QUARTER SHOP
Featuring tons of adorable bundles for you quilters out there along with plenty of fabric by the yard as well. Fat Quarter Shop carries the latest and greatest of all the big fabric designers. Some of my favorite lines: Stella Solids, Simply Spots by Kaffe Fassett, Just for Fun from Birch Fabrics, 30’s Playtime, 1930’s Colors Bella Solids, and Mormor by Lotta Jansdotter (coming soon).
PINK CHALK FABRICS
Check out Pink Chalk’s selection of voiles and lawns, which are among my preferred fabrics for skirts and dresses. Kathy carries a lovely selection of these, along with some knits as well!! You’ll find some Liberty of London Tana Lawn, Anna Maria Horner’s Little Folks, Rashida Coleman-Hale’s Koi, and the ever-versatile Free Spirit Designer Solids in there.
I particularly love the organic fabrics that Fabricworm offers up. Look for the Jay-Cyn designs for Birch Organic Fabrics, and the Charley Harper line, which cannot come soon enough (that one is coming in knits and flannels too!! woooot!!)! Also: totally great Japanese import fabrics that you won’t find anywhere else. I always know I can find double gauzes and Kokka fabrics that I’m looking for at Fabricworm (along with more obscure stuff like the organic sherpa I used for Elliot’s pennant pants).
PINK CASTLE FABRICS
I’m lucky enough to be able to shop locally at Pink Castle, but lucky for all of you, there’s a ton of great stuff online too! The Allison Glass prints are so fun, Monaluna with the lovely organic elements arranged geometrically, and Leah Duncan’s embroidery prints are so whimsical. Brenda’s large and constantly-changing selection also includes some knit fabrics (she has a number of solid Robert Kaufman knits in right now) and Nani Iro double gauzes.
Leave ONE comment by 10pm Eastern Time on Friday, November 8, 2013, to receive ONE $30 gift card from one of the shops featured in this post. Four winners will be randomly selected and randomly awarded one shop’s gift card. Each winner will be contacted via email, and will receive a redemption code to the selected shop. Void where prohibited by law.
