Coco Pattern Giveaway from Tilly and the Buttons

This giveaway is now closed. The winner will be announced shortly!

Today’s giveaway is from Tilly of Tilly and the Buttons. Her Coco pattern has made a serious splash recently, and she has generously offered up a printed copy of the pattern to give away to help get us psyched for Spring Top Sewalong 2014!

Coco is sewn with low-stretch knit fabrics, and would be a great pattern to learn how to sew with knits on a regular sewing machine.

We asked Tilly if she had seen any Cocos out in the wide world (ok, ok, out in the wide internet) and she showed us a few lovely versions. Here’s Adey of Sew Convert’s White and Stripes:

And Janet of Kitchen Table Sewing has already made a closetful of Cocos. We really like her Silly Sausage Dog top.

    Thanks for the lovely giveaways!

  3. Maybe I don’t need another project on my to-do list, but I’d love to sew myself a Coco (once I’m done with costumes for the school play!)

  4. I’ve just started making my own clothes and want to enter a local sewing bee competition. This pattern would be the perfect entry! Hope you pick me! 🙂

  6. This rocks. And I have to say that if I ever come across sausage dog fabric, I will buy all of it. Thanks for hosting the giveaway!

  7. WOOT! You guys rock! Hey, I know you’re uber-busy, but I wonder if anyone there can comment about a problem I’m having using stretch thread. It seems to all ball up under the plate. I try using it either in just bobbin or just top (using polyester in the other) and it still bunches up. Any tips? I’m new to knits, so this is part of my learning curve.

    • I haven’t gotten around to using it yet but Rae had a tutorial, maybe you’ve already checked it out. Could it be the quality of the thread you’re using or a tension problem?

  8. I love this pattern. I have been patiently waiting to not be pregnant so that I can purchase it and sew a closet full. Thanks for the wonderful giveaway!
