Big Butt Baby Pant outtake
Posted February 4, 2011
Remember this picture?
The other day as I was thumbing through my photos trying to find something, I stumbled across another picture from that photo shoot:
It just cracks me up every time. That tortured look. Just can’t stand that grass. Worse, it’s not the first time her evil mother has done this to her:

Anyway, thought you might get a kick out of that. Or maybe this will be the beginning of the child-advocacy group hatemail.

That is hysterical!!!! thanks for making me laugh!!! I love these pics!!! i have a few of those with my son on my copputer too!
Teeheehee! I love it. I am a big fan of "abused" child pics at my house, too.
Careful editing can save face every time
(MAN that green grass looks good right now!!)
Miserable kid pictures are too fun. Glad I'm not the only one who does that. Its always fun to make a kid stand outside in the cold or snow to model my latest knitwear.
omg, ha ha! I bribe my kids with candy.
but, we get crying frequently anyway. *sigh* My 4 y/o had gotten to where he's happy to model. So, I guess I have two more years of the other uncooperative model. Yay!
hahaha. love this!
So funny. I had put the picture of the sunsuit in my favorites for this summer and Tuesday when my daughter and I were discussing a 4th of July outfit we looked back at the sunsuit. I think we laughed as much the second time as when we first saw it.
Awesome! She's so cute.
It's good to get them exposed to the texture of grass early, even if they hate it! My son has texture sensitivity issues, and it was actually kind of hilarious to watch him try to stand up from grass or dirt without touching the ground with his hands. I'm a mean mommy, too.
LOL
I have a collection of "MOM=MEAN" pictures as well. It's always the really bad pictures you gotta collect.
I'm a very expressive talker and it's very normal for me to make expressions like I smell something absolutely terrible. My mom likes to collect pictures taken of me at special events making this face. Grad… engagement party… wedding… that sort of stuff. If she had really thought ahead she probably could have made a slideshow of those pictures for my wedding… thank goodness she didn't.
muahahahahaha!
You're a mean, mean mommy. Except your grass looks so soft and supple compared to our rigid, thick prickly excuse of a lawn.
Ha! Thanks for the Friday funny. Perfect blackmail material for when she's a teenager.
Like others, I can't decide what is more priceless in this picture: the tortured child or the soft green grass.
LOVE it!!!
I had something like that happen myself. http://www.flickr.com/photos/cerya/4361009020/
My mom has this photo of me standing in the freezing cold ocean in Maine as a kid, howling in pain at the cold. For some reason, I absolutely love that photo. Yours are great!
And that is MY laugh-out-loud moment for the day. Those are so great.
Too funny! And that is the sweetest sad face in the first pic too! Thanks for sharing a smile….even at her sweet expense!
That is hilarious! You and I are the same kind of mother, LOL!

That's hilarious! Thanks for the laugh
There's not a crafting mother alive who doesn't have those photos hanging around her computer somewhere!

Those are fantastic! Everyone needs pictures of their kids screaming – just to prove that their adorable, well behaved children AREN'T robots!
Heheh – these are too funny and cute!
I love it! Someone should start a Flickr group for all these tortured little models. I'm certain I have similar shots from my own childhood, wailing in Little-House-in-the-Prairie-esque dresses.
That last picture just made my day, way too funny!

I love crying pictures and always pick up my camera to capture a moment. oh, the crumpled face.

i don't feel so bad anymore! my son used to be terrified of grass, too.
Best. Baby. Pic. Ever. My toddler (close to 3) runs from the camera now, screaming "No, no! I'm hiding from your pictures!" and I've been forced to concede that the days of endless baby pics are over.
BTW I adore your blog and credit you with my love of sewing. I made 5 Buttercup bags over the last year as gifts. I had sewn curtains before–straight seams, that was it. Your instructions were incredible. The bags are adorable! Though I've yet to make one for myself…
Ha ha . . . you couldn't tell her displeasure from the first photo. I guess some things never change. My LO took a little while to become displeased with the grass when I did similar photo shoots.
Ha, ha! That's awesome. I've done the same thing myself but the crop tool always takes care of it for me.
if i wanted my third child to stay put i just had to put his blanket in the grass-he hated it too! he would do anything to keep from having it touch him. poor kid
I see that type of face all the time- but its the grass that has my real attention! Haven't seen that in a long time…
PS 2/3rds of mine hated grass too and I love the funny baby pics I took of them avoiding it
She's adorable.
funny…she'll need therapy for sure.
ha! how funny i have a niece who hates grass too
Love these! I am afraid to say that I have a few pics of my own wee one with the same expression. What is it with toddlers and grass?
Ha! Too cute! Thanks for sharing those. Now I don't feel bad for the 'sad face' pictures I take.
Oh that is funny! And terribly cute!
that's not torture, that's art!

Bahahahaha!! *Love!*
Reminds me of the pictures I took of my then-3-month-old on a haystack (but there was a blanket underneath her!) at the pumpkin patch.
I LOVE those photos!!!
Wah! Bless her heart…that's too funny. I can see her tonsils in the 2nd one, that's fierce!
This completely cracks me up! Needed that. Thank you.
So cute! I have some pics of my oldest that look just like that, I told my husband we have to capture all of her moods, even the sad ones
Ha! Those are great!
…Love the photos!
I just posted a funny baby-picture too… (baby's still too little to get after me!)

Sooo cute! Nice photos! I love the last pic…
Those pictures are hysterical! I have plenty of my son making that exact face. Poor kids…always getting "tortured" my their mothers.
Oh my goodness, those photos just made my day!! And I thought my daughter was the only one who's tortured by modeling lovingly handmade clothes. It's rough having a mom who sews, I tell you.
The grass! It's so lush and fresh and green and evil! Too funny.
Quick question??? I'm on the lookout for a serger but I am not at all familiar with them. I remember you have one. What kind do you have and would you recomend it? Any tips or thoughts there?
Thanks!
Julie

Ahahaha, that makes me feel better for the pictures I sometimes post of my daughter with crazy morning hair!
very funny!
I'm so glad I am not the only one who is amused by sad pictures of their child.
Gave me a good laugh! My daughters hated the grass at that age too…and the sand…and the lake water…
It's good to know that I'm not the only one torturing my child when taking pictures of her
I love these cute baby's crying photos, its some funny but hilarious.
HYSTERICAL. LOVE IT.
