My friend Karen LePage works with me here at the studio at least once a week; she’s been designing a new wrap skirt pattern for women for her brand new clothing label, Gentle Clothing, that we thought would be really fun with the Red Rover print from Small World. And who better to make it for than our local friend Rossie, dog lover and quilter extraordinaire? Rossie expressed an affinity for the red rover print pretty early on, so Karen whipped up this reversible skirt along with an indigo crossweave that I think is a fantastic combination. It was at the studio the other day, so I snapped some pics for our It’s a Small World (blog tour), after all.
The little hand-stitched dog is just a great touch, don’t you think?
As far as the pattern is concerned, the “Wander Skirt” from Gentle Clothing will be available soon. You can follow Karen at @gentleclothing on Instagram or sign up for her newsletter at GentleClothing.com if you’d like to know when it’s ready!
