Bug Tee and Shorts for Hugo

I made this outfit for Hugo for the beginning of school this year. “Back-to-school” season here in Michigan is always weird - when school starts it’s still super hot — shorts and tee weather — but then about 2-3 weeks later it starts to get cold. So anyway, he wore these for the first few weeks of school.

The patterns I used:

• Flashback Tee - size 7/8 - sleeves shortened using this tutorial (no cuff tho, just folded and stitched to hem)

• Parsley Pants - size 8 - shortened using this tutorial to a 5” inseam

Fabrics are a striped quilting cotton, and the “Bug’s Life” knit interlock from my Sidewalk fabric collection. The neckband for the tee is solid organic interlock from Cloud9 Fabrics.
