Sapphire is here!
Hurrah, hurray! Sapphire is here! I'm so happy to announce that this sewing pattern is now available in my shop in digital format today. Sapphire is available in our extended size range, with fourteen sizes designed for chest measurements 30-66" [76-168 cm] and hip measurements 35-70" [89-178 cm]. Two front bodice pattern pieces are provided - for fuller and smaller chests - to provide fit flexibility for different busts.
This pattern is available to purchase in two formats:
Digital (available now!) - the instant-download PDF pattern includes pattern pieces in print-at-home, A0 copyshop, and projector file formats (LAYERS included in all 3!), and a full-color 21-page booklet of instructions with an appendix of my favorite seam finishes. For this option, you will download and save your file immediately after purchase.
Print (pre-order now!) - this printed pattern will be mailed to you and includes an instruction booklet with diagrams for each step and three full-sized high quality pattern sheets, printed with vegetable based inks on paper made from 100% renewable eucalyptus pulp. The full-color cover features sizing, yardage and elastic charts and is packaged in a clear resealable bag for easy storage. The print pattern is expected to ship toward the end of May (4/25/25), but please be aware that this may change. You can enter code “YAYSAPPHIRE” at checkout to get free US shipping if you pre-order before May 23, 2025.

Sapphire is a dress or top designed for woven fabrics featuring a button-front with gathered puff sleeves and skirt. The dress view has a maxi-length skirt with inseam pockets, side vents at the hem and a dramatic longer sleeve with elastic cuffs. The top view features a breezy shorter sleeve. The facings can optionally be attached on the outside of the garment for a fun pop of contrast.
Make Sapphire as a top to wear with shorts and sandals in warmer weather, or as a comfortable maxi dress with big dramatic sleeves and a fun flowy skirt you’ll want to dance around in all year round. I love wearing my Sapphires for everything — from running errands to fancy evenings out!
