Cute Stuff from Mom

lampcloseup.jpg

Just wanted to show off some cute stuff from my mom. While both Mum and Pop are crafty and can therefore both take large amounts of credit for producing a family of crafty kids, mom is the one who taught me to sew. It was so long ago that I don't even remember how old I was, but I do remember that when she taught me to use the sewing machine I was about eight. We went to the library and got a book of easy sewing projects, and the one we (I?) chose was a patchwork book bag. Which come to think of it is probably actually back in style again. Mental note: go find that thing.

this was in my birthday package from mom and dad...one can never have too much Heather Ross Mendicino!

Mom saved this even after we had grown too old for it. I'm so glad she did because now it's in Elliot's room. The little turtle turns to wind up a music box that plays "Lullaby." He points to it every night before we put him in his crib. And, last but certainly not least:

I don't know if you can see it when you click on the photo, but she embroidered E's name on the bottom left edge. Isn't it beautiful?

Oh and I almost forgot...there will be a giveaway here this week. So check back. Ok, that's all!
