Let’s have a Luna Pantsalong!

This spring Luna Pantsย are my favorite thing to make and wear. I love a cute pair of lightweight pants when the weather gets warm, and this pattern is so fun and comfy. I’m especially excited to show you the latest pairs I’ve sewn and to post a few tutorials to help you make them. So let’s have a Pantsalong! I find spring to be particularly motivating when sewing clothing, and I know there are some of you out there who would appreciate having the extra motivation that a sewalong provides.

  1. I’d love to win a copy!! I’m in a “no new patterns until July” pact with the hubby, so I can’t buy them, but I can try to win them! ๐Ÿ˜‰

  2. I have been eyeing these pants for sooo long.. would love to win the PDF pattern and join in the pants along!

  3. Ooh these could be the first ever trousers I make! Trying to build a handmade wardrobe. Lovely pattern ๐Ÿ™‚

  4. I would LOVE to win a copy of the fab Luna pants pattern.
I don’t usually sew pants for myself and definitely want to give it a try.
    Thanks so much!

    Ash xo

  5. I’m probably going to buy this pattern anyway but winning a copy would be most excellent!

  6. Oh so fun! I’ve just recently sewing for myself and I would love to tackle these! Thanks.

  7. A pantsalong is such a great idea!
I bought some luna-pants like pants last year, but I lost so much weight (intentionally) that they don’t fit anymore (totally not intentional). So I really need a new pair of super comfy, and still more stylish than yoga pants pants.

    Greetings,
    Tina

  8. I’m so excited to see these as made by many people, on many body types hopefully! I’m trying to be psyched for spring, but today we’re having so much snow here in Boston. I wonder whether I would feel springy wearing lightweight pants over long underwear?

  9. Ooh I have made Moon Pants for the kids but have not gotten round to making any more me yet. I would love to join in. Hoping I win a copy of the pattern, otherwise thanks for the discount code.

  10. Have been eyeing this pattern since it was released – looking forward to the pantsalong.

  11. I have wanted to make these since they were released but oh the agony of choosing fabric! I’ve never been able to decide! Maybe I’ll win and be forced to finally pick something!

  12. After a disheartening morning trying on pants at the thrift store (score – thrift store 19, me 0), this pattern could be just the thing. Those are good-looking pants! Thanks for the pantsalong!

  13. Ooh I need some pants like this! Pick me!!! The ones in the pic above look amazing, I love the print.

  14. Yay pantsalong! And a giveaway that I can participate in from over here in Germany, yippieh ๐Ÿ™‚ maybe luck will be with me against its usual habits ๐Ÿ˜‰

  15. How cool I was just wearing a similar RTW pair that are too old to make it out in public much more and was thinking “hey I need to get the Luna pattern and make my own”. Now I can do it while being social!! ๐Ÿ™‚

  16. These are the perfect spring sewing project!! โค๏ธโค๏ธโค๏ธ

  17. Oooh I have some lightweight viscose which would be perfect for these, would love to win the pattern. Thanks for the giveaway!

  18. I wear jeans seven days a week until it gets warm enough to wear skirts, so the Luna pants could be a wonderful way to branch out in my wardrobe!

  19. ecck!! What a great pattern! Would love to win the Luna pattern and join the sew along!

  20. Ooo! I’d love to give this one a go. Similarly to someone farther up thread, I’m in a “no new patterns” agreement…but mine is due to the fact that I bought a ton back in, oh, October? And I still haven’t used them all. I agreed with hubs that I’d make at least one thing from each pattern I bought before I could buy any more. (And let’s not even get into the fabric agreement…it’s disheartening.) But bring on the chances to win! ๐Ÿ™‚

  21. I am interested in what fabric you are planning on using. I am way out of the size range of your pants but have been trying to talk myself into trying to make a pair of palazzo pants. Just not sure what material that would be comfortable, stretchy, and lightweight for a summer in a factory.

  22. I’m new to sewing and have never used a pattern before, but I keep coming back to these pants. I love them! I think this will be my first time attempting to make clothes for myself!

  23. Yay, I’ve been drooling over these pants on IG! Excited to see what fabrics everyone chooses.

  24. Hooray! I’ve been keeping my eye out for the right fabric to make a pair of Luna pants.

  25. This is just what I need! I already have the pattern, so if I don’t I would give it to my super sewing Mum. I need a little encouragement, although I will have to catch up at the weekend ๐Ÿ˜‰

  26. I would love to win a copy of this pattern! Transitioning clothes from winter to spring/summer is always a challenge!

  27. Ohhhh!!! What a great idea to get motivated and get the spring thoughts kicking!! I have some fabric that I’ve held onto for a while now, knowing it would be perfect for a nice pair of comfy pants, that don’t look like pj’s…..but feel like, and could be ๐Ÿ™‚ The Luna pants are the perfect match…..I hope I get lucky! Thanks for the “kick” in the right direction…..looking forward to all the fun ๐Ÿ™‚

  28. I’d love to win a pattern and make the Luna Pants the first pair of pants I make myself! Thanks for the opportunity.

  29. I have been eyeing these pants since the release. I’m still trying to decide if I can pull them off! Need to dust off the machine again soon.

  30. Oh I would love to take part in this sew along! My baby arrived Easter Sunday and I am finally in the need of normal shaped clothes again!

  32. Great idea to run a luna-pantsalong! I’ve sewn soooo much stuff from your former patterns that I would be excited to have the chance to take part. Hope to receive one of your mails ๐Ÿ™‚

  33. It’d be great to win a copy! They look like great summer pants but I e been hesitant to try them as I’m not sure they’d be attractive for this petite postpartum body right now. Looking forward to seeing what everyone makes for the sew-along.

  41. Ooh! I like that pattern, I tried similar in RTW, but my legs are longer than average and they don’t work. This would be the first time I made pants, so a pantsalong would be fabulous!

  42. So excited to make these pants! Choosing fabric will be the hard part.
Looking forward to a sewalong for sure.

  43. I have made myself plenty of tops and dresses, but I have never tried pants (other than pjs). I would love to try!

  44. Would it be insulting to say that I think these would be great for PJs? I am envisioning a pair in flannel!

  45. I’d love to win this pattern! I have some jogger pants in work-appropriate fabric and I think maybe I could replicate then with a minor tweak to this pattern. Thanks for the giveaway.

I have been buying top patterns for awhile and desperately need some ” bottoms”.
I have my fingers crossed ๐Ÿ™‚

  52. Please enter me for the giveaway. I have not made trousers/pants before as I’m a bit scared! A sew along would give me the hand holding I need. I like the look of some of your other patterns too – might put them on my birthday wish list.

  53. I’ve been eyeing-up your Luna pattern for weeks, so this is perfect timing! Just crossing my fingers that my sewing machine will behave itself so I can join in. Thanks for the chance to win x

  61. Thanks for doing the giveaway! I’ll be participating either way… who wouldn’t want to participate in a pantsalong??

  62. Oh man, I love this style of pant. I wonder what fabric I would use to make them. Maybe rayon…

  63. Oh so glad I saw this giveaway just before it closes!

I’ve been ogling the Luna Pants since you started posting teaser pics, but they aren’t part of my normal “style” (jeans and a t-shirt). But I love them so and, know what? Summer beach vacation is the perfect time to wear these!!!

  64. I am still working on my spring capsule wardrobe and would love to add a pair of Luna pants to it!
